Mrs. Martha Holland, of Cottondale, FL, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Jackson Hospital, Marianna, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. from the chapel of Vann Funeral Home with Reverend Frances Menchion, Reverend DeRon Johnson, Elder Earline Henderson and Pastor Margaret S. Robinson Officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home will be in charge of the service.

The viewing will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Vann Funeral Home.

Mr. Quinton DeWayne Yon, affectionately known as Flash, of Cottondale, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, July 31, 2017 in Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Yon was a member of Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was employed at Sunland at Marianna. He worked for many years at Jackson Hospital. 

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 4:00 PM from the sanctuary of the Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2730 Glastel Street in Cottondale, Florida with the Reverend Lawrence Gantt (pastor) officiating, Interment in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Joseph Anderson, Sr. of Panama City, Florida passed on July 28, 2017. 

Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where the Reverend Woodrow Wilson is pastor. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Anderson will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM until time for the service.

Mr. Leo Speights, age 80, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Alabama. 

Mr. Speights was a member of Magnolia African Methodist Episcopal Church. 

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of the Second West Missionary Baptist Association with the Reverend William Harvey, Reverend Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Reverend Hollis McClendon, Evangelist Cynthia Gee and the Reverend Evelyn Creal-Wilcox officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Speights will lie in state at the church from 12:00 Noon until time for the service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Mr. Henry D. Smith, Jr. of Greenwood, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in Flowers Hospital.

Mr. Smith retired from Apalachee Correctional Institution where he served as the Education Administrator. To know him was to love him.

The Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the sanctuary of the Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church located at 3695 Poplar Springs Road in Marianna, Florida 32446 with the Reverend Dwight Cockerham, Sr. (pastor), the Reverend Walter Marcus Smith, the Reverend Joseph Curry, the Reverend Joe Jackson, and the Reverend David Cobb officiating. Interment in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Smith will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
