Mrs. Hair was a member of the Second Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired from Sunland Center as a Human Service Senior Supervisor.  To know her was to love her.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the Second Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church located at 5346 15th Street in Malone, Florida 32445.Interment in the church cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Allen Speights, affectionately called “Tinchie”, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Jackson Hospital. 

Mr. Speights was a member of Magnolia African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was a founder and a manager of the Traveling Angels Gospel Group of Marianna, Florida. He retired from the Jackson County Road and Bridge Department. He will be missed. 

Homegoing Celebration of a Life services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 4194 Union Road in Marianna, Florida where the Reverend Michael G. Mrs. Evans accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Church of Christ Written in Heaven. After graduating from high school, she served faithfully in the United States Army. She later relocated to Pensacola, Florida where she joined the Greater True Vine Baptist Church and served a loyal and dedicated member.

Mrs. Mary Wilson White of Manassas, Virginia, formerly of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on August 26, 2016.

Although born in Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. White was raised by her grandparents, the late Sylvester and Sallie Lou Mack of Marianna, Florida. To know her was to love her. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church located at 2870 Barnes Street in Marianna, Florida where the Reverend Kevin Williams is the Interim Pastor.  Vann Funeral Home in charge.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving family:

Husband: Retired Colonel Ulysses White of Manassas, Virginia

Two Sons: Barry M. White and Alvin B. White both of Manassas, Virginia

Five Grandchildren, Four great grandchildren

Daughters-in-Law: Felice Motley White and Jean White

And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Mrs. Ivy Jean Spencer, affectionately known as “Chunk”, of Marianna, FL went home to be Lord on September 7, 2016 in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a graduate of the Jackson County Training School, Class of 1967 and a retiree of the Sunland Center.

Celebration of life services were held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from the sanctuary of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church located at 2871 Orange Street in Marianna, FL 32448 with Reverend Riley Henderson (Pastor), Reverend Eric Griffin, Reverend Earnest Robinson, Reverend Samuel Everett and Reverend George Bowers, officiating. Interment in the Nubbin Ridge Cemetery, Greenwood, FL. Vann Funeral Home will be in charge.

She leaves to cherish her memories:

Flowers of Sneads, FL transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.  He was a member of The Faith Temple Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ.  He was a retired Warden from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and retired from the United States Army.

Celebration of Life services were held Monday, September 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM EST from the sanctuary of the Friendship African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 401 E Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Chattahoochee FL, with the Rev. Samael McGlockton (Pastor), Minister Doretha Jackson, and  Reverend Dr. Rufus Wood officiating. Interment in the U.B.A Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.
